What Could Cause Menstrual Irregularity?

Hi doctor,I am 24years old,married.my height is 5'4.weight135lbs.my last period was September 7th.this month expected date was 8th October.unfortunately I have not got my periods yet.i never had problem before .this is the first time I am facing this problem.i never had any prepone nor postpone tablet before.i just travelled from oct 6th to oct 10th 2012.i was expecting during my journey but I noticed few drops of blood during my journey ,so can I count this as like my periods started or not?bleeding happened 3days not like normal ,very few drops.please advice me.i am worried.

Hi,

I will suggest you to have a course of Medroxyprogesterone tablet 10 mg for 5 days and wait 3 weeks for periods to occur. Also, I would suggest you to have a thyroid profile test done.
