What Could Cause Menstrual Irregularity?

I m on the contraceptive pill minigynon30. This would be my second month on the pill, for the first month i was on the pill i saw my period on a monday two days after i had stop from the pill so that i could have blood withdrawal. I read that it is a 21 day cycle so that means i should see my period every monday however today is monday and there is no sign of blood so i m worried........should i be more patient? Can the cycle change?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

The cycle length and the bleeding pattern can change when you are on minipill. If you have not missed any pill during the cycle then there is no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
