What Could Cause Mild Bleeding During Intercourse?

me n my partner was doing foreplay last night and when he pulled his fingers out there was blood on of his fingers. but before and after in incident we had sex but there was no blood on his penis and Im not dripping out blood because i put a pad on after sex and there was no blood when I looked in the morning, is there something wrong?
