General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Mild cramps before onset on periods can be normal and can occur in congestive form of dysmenorrhoea (menstrual cramps). Antispasmodics can be taken ease the pain. Ovulation day calculation may not be accurate always. Unprotected sex anytime can increase the risk of pregnancy. You can also take an urine pregnancy in case 2 weeks has passed after intercourse. If severe pain still remains, pelvic ultrasound may be required.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
