What Could Cause Missed Periods Even After Intake Of Meprate 10mg Tablets?
My wife's cycle length is 34-37. She is coming every time regularly withing this period since 20 yers of age. now she in 25 year old. In this month all most 45 days gone but still she is not in cycle. My doctor suggest her to take meprate 10 mg, thrice. After 3 days of this treatment she is not in time. please suggest.
If a urine pregnancy test is not done yet, please let her go for it. If the test gives positive result, Meprate containing progesterone will not usually lead to withdrawal effect on pregnant endometrium and so bleeding. If the test gives negative result, after taking Meprate tablet sometimes it may take around one week to ten days to get the withdrawal bleeding. So, you can wait for a few more days and she may get the bleeding soon.
If she doesn't get withdrawal bleeding even 10 days after stopping the tablets, better to consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for an ultrasound, hemoglobin, blood sugar level and thyroid profile, etc. With this the possible cause of the delay can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
