What Could Cause Pain In Both The Eyes?

My 2 year old is complaining that both eyes hurt him. He is always wipping his eyes and today it is more often than the last week. He crys sometimes and says they hurt. He has mentioned that he is wiping the smoke out of his eyes. His checks and under his eyes have become red. The doctor couldnt find anything and thinks he could have a cold but that we should see an eye doctor.

Hello
It seems from the history that your 2 year old is having redness and pain in the eyes.
Since it seems he is having cold the eye symptoms can be because of eye infection most commonly acute conjunctivitis.
The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops.
Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
