What Could Cause Periods On Two Week Intervals With History Of Having Sex Followed By Intake Of Pill?
for the last two months i have had my periods in two week intervals...this month i had sex three times and every time i took the morning-after pill...my last period ended on september 3rd..i took my last morning after pill on the 13th... shouldnt i have my period by now?
Repeated intake of emergency contraceptive pills can lead to the irregular menstrual cycles. Because of the high dose of the hormones in them emergency contraceptive pills can lead to the withdrawal bleeding after taking the tablets. This will make the menstrual cycles irregular. If you took the emergency contraceptive pill in the first half of the cycle usually that lead to early onset of menstrual period and if you have took in the second half of the cycle that can postpone the menstrual period.
There should be at least 2 month gap between two emergency contraceptive pills to prevent reproductive hormonal imbalance and irregularity of menstrual cycles. Now you please avoid emergency contraceptive pills for at least three to four months, maybe by that time your menstrual cycles may get regularize.
