What Could Cause Persistent Aching Under The Breasts For 5 Days After Severe Coughing?

Hi Following a bout of severe coughing I was left with an aching band of pain right across the body underneath the breasts. I have been treating this with anti-inflammatory muscle rubs (arnica & peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus and calendula oil essential oil rub) paracetamol occasionally when I am having trouble sleeping. This has now been going on for 5 days. I d be interested to hear your thoughts on this problem of mine. Thanks.
