What Could Cause Persistent Headaches?

my wife has been hospitalized for a headache that has lasted for 2 weeks they gave her cat scans ,mri, spinal taps and haven t come up with anything .they gave her pain medicine but it doesn t help I think from what I read she is suffering from low pressure in her spinal fluid what can you suggest I am out of options what do you think . can you help us I suggested go to chiropractor to see what he can do.I love my wife and to see her suffer like this is sad ,can you help us?

If she is truly suffering from a low pressure or spinal headache she should have certain specific symptoms: headache worsens when she sits up or stands, headache alleviated when laying supine, headache improved with caffeine. If she has these symptoms she may have a spinal headache in which case a procedure known as an epidural blood patch can help alleviate her headache. If she does not have a spinal headache ( different symptoms than above) a refractory headache can respond to different infusion treatments such as magnesium, lidocaine, or DHE. I hope this is helpful and I hope your wife feels better soon.
