What Could Cause Redness And Swelling Along With Burning Sensation In A Toe After Getting Complete Treatment Post Injury?

Hello, and thank you for taking my question. In April I broke my foot in 3 places by the last 3 toes. Today I noticed that the ball area below those toes was swollen pretty bad. My 4th toe, which has had trouble healing is swollen, red and sometimes has a hot burning type of sensation. what could this possibly be?
