What Could Cause Severe Bleeding With Blood Clothes After A Termination Apart From Bleeding Only At Night?

Hi, I had a termination a week ago today. The last 3 days I have only been bleeding at night and nothing during the day, (it seems like my period should be stopping during the day) but after tea time I start getting period cramps and I wake up in the morning, with very heavy bleeding soaked through, and big clots and bad period pains, but couple of hours into the morning it all stops till the night time. Why is that?

Hello,

Your symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance or due to retained products of conception, get your pelvic ultrasound to rule out the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
