What Could Cause Severe, Brief Lower Abdominal Pain That Makes It Hard To Talk, Move, Or Breathe?

I keep getting sharp pains in my lower abdomen, during these pains I can’t talk or move or even breathe because the pain is so severe, it only lasts a few seconds each time but I’m still concerned. I used to get these pains multiple times a day but now I don’t get them as often, nonetheless it still happens rather frequently. What are the possible causes of these pains?

Hello,

Severe gas traps can cause such symptoms. UTI, when treated, can cause such pain. You can take antacids or PPIs to get relief from gastritis. You have not mentioned if it is on the right side or the left. If it is on the right side, it could be due to appendicitis. Get clinically examined by a GP.

If there’s a pulsating mass with severe pain, it’s a medical emergency. A nerve issue in the lower back can cause pain that feels like it’s coming from the abdomen. Sharp, sudden pain, sometimes with mild bleeding, is indicative of ovarian rupture, and kidney stones can also cause such symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
