What Could Cause Severe Sore Throat, Pain While Swallowing, Spitting And Drinking Water And White Spots On The Tonsils?

I have a severe sore throat. Pain is 10 out of 10. I can t eat, swallow, spit, or even drink water without it feeling like I m swallowing sand paper. I have multiple white spots on my tonsils and back of throat. I went and got tested for strep and it came back negative What else could this be?

Hi,

In my opinion, you are having tonsillitis with pus or tonsillolith. These might get inflamed every now and then and will cause fever in difficulty in swallowing.
