What Could Cause Sharp Pain And A Snapping Sound In My Right Groin Area When I Step Down Or Move My Leg?

I have a problem with the front of my right leg where my leg attaches to my body, I think groin area. I have trouble stepping down and it binds, when I walk it is hard to move. Sometimes it gives a loud snapping sound when I turn my foot towards my left leg. It is very painful when I step down with my right leg.
