What Could Cause Spotting After Taking Emergency Contraceptives Twice Within A Week Post Intercourse?

hi,i had my normal period from date 6 to 9,,i also had unprotected sex from 10th,17th and 24th..i used emergency pills for 17th and 24th and after a week or so i started spotting,it took 9 days....5days have not passed and the spotting is back again..pov i took a pregnancy test and it came out neg.what couldbe the problem

Hi,

Actually emergency contraceptives contain high dose of hormone. Thus, it is to be used sparingly. You had repeated it twice for 17th and 24th sex. This must have overloaded you with hormones to cause hormonal imbalance and so you have the bleeding. Now please wait, don't take any hormone and observe for the bleeding to come.

Pregnancy test is positive after 8 days delay in periods, so it's unlikely to break positive so soon. Again, pregnancy is not possible if you had taken pills in time. In case there is profuse bleeding or pregnancy test positive consult your doctor for assessment and examination.
