Hi, I've had a feeling that something is caught in my throat for about 9 months now that comes and goes. It doesn't.hurt and I swallow just fine, but it is annoying. Today, I checked in the mirror and opened my mouth and saw 2 red spots on one of my tonsil, the most visible one. They are a bit asymmetric, which I asked my doctor about and he said they looked fine and weren't swollen (this was back in March). I've been monitoring my slightly bigger tonsil since and no change in size has occured, so I assume I'm just made that way. The 2 red spots worry me though, what could it be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of stuffy throat which is leading to sore throat due to bacterial or viral infection. It could be possible that you are having allergic reaction. It is leading to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Avoid intake of outside food. You should avoid spicy food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day as it can provide relief. Milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime for can be relieving as it has antimicrobial properties. Throat lozenges one every 4 hours is helpful.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
