What Could Cause Sudden Death?

44 year old male, good health, on medication for a work related accident 3 years ago on medication for nerve damage, was sitting on the couch and passed out came to and went to stand up and fell back stopped breathing, could not resucitate him, doing extensive autopsy as nothing seemed to explain his sudden death, they ruled it as natural causes. I need some answers

Hi dear.Thanks for writing me on HCM forum.I have thoroughly read your query and deeply understand your concern.Sudden death is commonly seen in diabetics or in case of preexisting heart problems and medications that he has been using.It can also be seen in case of respiratory distress which would have been precipitated into respiratory arrest.However the end result manifests as sudden cardiac death.Hope this gives a glimpse of the pathology.
