What Could Cause Sudden Headache And A Elevation In BP Level?
I have had a virus for the last three weeks and over the last week, a headache. My blood pressure is elevated and I am concerned about this, as I usually have quite low blood pressure. Can a virus like this (starting with sore throat, cough and blowing a lot of bright green mucus from the nose) be a cause of sudden elevated blood pressuer? I have, in the past, had sinusitis, although I don't know if I have sinusitis this time, as my cheeks and top of my nose are not hurting.

Let me tell you, any sort of stress, physical or mental, can increase the blood pressure.
I would advice you to get repeated readings just after sound night sleep in morning, and even with rest if BP remains above 140/90, consult your primary physician.
