Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have left lower abdominal tenderness to touch, feels like a tightness. Relieved with positioning, better if lying on left side. Moderate relief after taking motrin. Have history of consstipation. Took a dulcolax suppository, senna 2 tabs with only small results which were followed by small loose stool. Initially when I stood straight it felt like stretching, then that resolved. Now tender to palpation on left lower abdomen, very localized.
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic. With this presentation, some information (like your age and sex) is needed because it would help in the diagnosis. If that cannot be possible, then I think it could be a case of intestinal obstruction or a disease called diverticulitis. A gynecological problem could also be evoked if you are a female. A thorough clinical assessment associated with some tests is needed to determine the cause. I would suggest you see an emergency room doctor for proper assessment and management.
I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish you good health
