Hello,
Gargle your throat with salt water thrice daily. Limit your speech, give rest to your throat & take liquid and semi solid diet so that you do not hurt the mucosa of your throat. Take
Naproxen after food to help reduce symptoms pf pain,
redness, soreness of the throat. Take sips of water and fluids throughout the day, avoid being dehydrated. Your symptoms are indicative of infection.
Get clinically examined by an ENT. Get sputum examination, throat swab and culture done along with the required tests and investigations. In the meantime, you can take a course of antibiotics like
Augmentin or doxycycline. Taking antihistamine at bedtime will reduce
allergy symptoms and help to sleep better.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
