What Could Cause Upper Abdominal And Back Pain After Taking Misoprostol?

I took abortion pill (misoprostol) 3 days ago, and am experiencing upper (thoracic) back pain along with abdominal pain that starts at my belly up to my rib cage. I saw the Dr. today for a check up sonogram and he said everthing looks good so far, my cervix is not blocked by any tissue and he said the abdominal pain was normal, but did find it a bit odd that I am experiencing pain so high on the abdomin. I do not have fever or lack of appetite. I feel crampy which is normal, but i am a bit worried about the upper abdominal pain along with the higher back pain. Do you think this is normal in the healing process?

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Do not worry, it is side effects of misoprostol.
For safer side go for USG to confirm the incomplete abortion and residual product of conception or ectopic pregnancy.
If it is there you should remove it by minor surgical process.
Take proper rest, tablet meftal spas, tablet ranitidine, healthy diet.
Use safe sex practice to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
