What Could Cause Vaginal Odor?

I recently gave birth 2 weeks ago & I've noticed an odor coming from my vagina & I've tried showering twice a day & changing my pantie liner more frequently, but the odor is still there. Is this normal? Also is there something I can do to get rid of the odor.

Hello,

Vaginal odor you are experiencing is concerning for possible infection. Vaginal swab microscopy is needed at this point. So please be advised to follow up with your ObGyn for appropriate management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
