What Could Cause Vomiting, Dry Heaving And Watery Motions?

My son vomited 2 days ago, I thought it was heat stroke, he continued dry heaving through the night.
Last night I felt nausea then aprox 6hrs later I was vomiting and have been dry heaving and had water coming instead of poos. Is this like a 24hr bug?

If both of you have same food, might be having food poisoniing. Can takeNor flox tz twice daily for two days. Take water with electral 3 to 4 times aday. Observe for further vomiting loose motion. If does not stop then report toahospital for investigation and treatment.
