What Could Constant Cramps During Periods Suggest?

Hi. I finished my period 7 days ago and am still having cramps. I've never had this happen before. Typically I will cramp and feel bad on the first day of my cycle, but then it goes away. This time I cramped throughout my whole period and am continuing to have cramps. Any ideas or suggestions?
