What Could Drooping Lip With Tingling Sensation While Having Stents Fixed Indicate?
I am a 76 yr. old woman and 6 weeks ago, I had 2 stents put in a main heart artery. I did great for quite some time, but lately, have felt real lethargic and 2 different days have had a drooping lower lip with a slight tingling sensation, it comes after I have walked our dog or walked around outside. it does go away, with no side effects left. Can you please advise me about this? Thank you so much, Dee
General & Family Physician, Dr. Piyush K's Response
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. As per complains given by you there is possibility that sometimes a blood clot develops in a stent and it travels throught the blood vessel to the brain and there causes obstruction in blood vessel leading to decreased blood supply to the brain leading to some of the complains you have mentioned as above. I would advice you to consult a neurologist regarding your complains.Probably a CT Scan might be required. Thanks and regards.
