What Could Ear Ache With Fluid In The Ear Indicate?
Hi, I have had an ear ache for over 2 months. I went to Urgent Care twice. First time there was fluid in my ear, the second time there wasn't and she said the ear looked okay. So she referred me to a ENT Specialist but my appointment isn't until May 20th. So I was wondering what it could be since the Doctor didn't see anything wrong with my ear. Also is there any remedies I could use to help my ear ache?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear ache with fluid in the ear which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and spread of infection from respiratory tract to eustachian tube leading to eustachian tube dysfunction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents. You should avoid intake of outside food and avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
