What Could Elevated WBC, Nausea And Vomiting Post Treatment For Pneumonia Indicate?

I have pneumonia and was on an anti-biotic after 7 days. My white blood count went down and we thought I was healing; however, at my checkup yesterday, my blood count shot up again. I don feel sick like I did in the beginning but a few minutes ago, I threw up my lunch after about 10 bites.n I ve been nauseated but this is first time I ve thrown. What is happening?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
An increase in white blood cell counts and feeling of nausea can be due to reactivation of infection.
A complete blood count along with differential blood counts is required to know the probable cause of rise in total blood cell counts.
Nausea and vomiting can also be due to indigestion or gastrointestinal tract infection.
Thus, take light meals and consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
In case there is evidence of infection, appropriate treatment can be started.

Thanks and take care
