What Could Enlarged Xiphoid Indicate?

xiphoid is enlarged. seem prominent on palpation,age is 60+ no pain or tenderness is there.have been operated for papillary ca 10 yrs ago. since then on regular fallow up. Tg, t3, t4 are normal.what can it be. i am a male. and professor in medical college.
