What Could Explain Pain In Abdomen And Irregular Spotting?

I do not like going too the doctors office. Although lately my stomach has been bothering me, it feels as if i would be starting my period soon, but on Tuesday i had spotting and then it went away. I am so confused and worried, I just do not know what is wrong with me. Any advice?
