Hello. I was extremely ill and it began improving around January for no apparent reason. Multiple doctors each looked at something different and found something. The illness lasted roughly 8 months during covid, this was the second time, I was also ill 2 months prior to lockdown. Same symptoms but not as severe with additional symptoms second time. Symptoms are returning now 1 at a time and I m terrified. Full list of symptoms; intermittent ED, weak stream at times unable despite urge, urination frequency increases with lower output and pain if delayed, bowel movements that are infrequent once a week at best changing from daily regular, severe joint, back, muscle pain, dehydration regardless of fluid consumption or type of fluid, mental fog and confusion, dandruff unresponsive to over the counter and homeopathic treatment, shortness of breath limiting movement to short distance walks, running causes fainting, dizziness upon standing or sitting up often but not constant multiple times daily, fungal and bacterial infections that respond to treatment but cannot keep regulated or eliminated, intermittent blood sugar issues tested 5 times daily would be higher for days regardless of diet and return to normal range with no change, malise, fatigue, urine ranges from apple juice to dark orangeish/yellow to clear without ketone without correlation to type of fluid intake, for 4 months quit sweating despite working in sun outside 10+ hours a day, headaches and sensitivity to light. Previous conditions; stomach pain possible ulcer or digestive issue (tested 2 doctors over 20+ years with different diagnosis), sinus congestion unable to resolve after countless medications over 20+ years multiple states and doctors, and corneal transplant w/lens from work incident 18 years ago only eye was effected. Diagnosis while ill; copd with congenital birth defect in lung(doubtful considering sports and jobs), calcification of testicle with pain in testicle and cord. I had what the ER called a heart attack like event during the illness last year that resulted in tachycardia with feelings of electrical shocks jolting and shaking entire body roughly every 2 -15 minutes that lasted 5 days, 2 of which I was hospitalized. I passed out after treadmill started for stress test so they did it chemically which I passed, then released diagnosis of unknown neurological issue, blood work and other tests normal. Electrical shocks disappeared 2 days after leaving. I was traveling between home and parents house out of state when event occurred, hospitalization occured in between locations returning. Shortness of breath last to leave and first to return, all symptoms gone 3 months. Before this I could count the number of times sick on 1 hand in whole life. Athletic young, physical work until illness, borderline high blood pressure, heart rate high end of normal for activity. Diet healthy except for 2 liters of mt.dew daily until high blood sugar occurred, now just vitamin water, juice, water. Dinner meat, starch, salad with Italian dressing, sandwich for lunch, nutragrain bar breakfast, crackers or granola for snack. Only change is not returning to physical work. 40 years old, 120 lbs now was 170 before first illness, 5 10 . No medications just multivitamin and occasionally ibuprofen or aleve for extreme headache or body ache. Cigarette smoker 25 years, was pot smoker 23 years before 2nd illness and not currently. Quit drinking alcohol same time also not currently. A total of 11 doctors have seen me during illness without any real diagnosis or treatment to help. Urinary, bowel, headaches, and infections have returned so far. Sugar issues lasted 2 or 3 months before stabilizing and have not returned, highest just over 200 lowest 48 during that time , continued checking for 1 month after stabilizing with no spikes or drops and quit testing. That resolved before heart event. I understand this is alot and I m just baffled and terrified since seeking help from local doctor has not helped as well as the 5 doctors in the st.louis ER. I spent about 3 months in so much pain I couldn t stand without assistance which is the reason for the fear. I went for being able to life and carry over 200 lbs to struggling to stand and lost a considerable portion of my body weight over that time. I don t expect a diagnosis or a miracle, but any insight, opinion, or ideas I would love to hear and consider. I can provide chest xray, blood work from calcification visit copd report along with blood test from 2 years prior when I contracted hanta virus at work(coworkers passed away from it according to the attorney and judge I had to testify)doctors diagnosed me with upper respiratory infection. My best educated guess from research is radiation exposure due to increased risk from working at coal power plant that burns lignite coal for 5 years. Lignite contains. 0005% or less radioactive material and fly ash exposure which msds or contents list is available for, but its caused a 3 month flu from carbon air arcing the duct work covered in it, diagnosis was upper respiratory illness again. I know fly ash has multiple heavy metals in small quantities in it, fly ash and coal dust cover you at work and breathing a small portion happens through respirator evident from grit in mouth while wearing respirator. For those years I lived 3 miles away from the plant on reclaimed land. 3-4 years ago I started rock hounding with wife, we visited Kentucky, NC, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Florida and GA hounding. Positively identified 2 radioactive rocks in collection and have probably 200 unidentified still. Spent maybe 3-6 months around them while not at work including sleeping hours before first illness started. She has a few symptoms but not near as many and not as severe except for mental fog and confusion which is worse than mine. She is googling her way to and from work daily now and seems like not really understanding what is going on around her. Aside from that she is seeing mild signs of bacterial and fungal infection yet very mild compared to me. She gets 1 infected lump I get 40 or more. Look same and respond same to treatment. She has thyroid issue and swelling in legs, always cold, low BP, low heart rate. I spent more time handling the rocks and we didn t alway take proper precautions since we didn t realize random rocks would have stuff like that. From what I read the radiation emitted is minimal and none of the rocks fit criteria for meteorites. Like I said any idea or suggestion would be considered. Please, that pain no one should have to endure.
