Hi,

Faint line in an urine pregnancy test can indicate ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. HCG levels will usually starts doubling 24 to 48 hours. Failure of increase in hCG levels can cause such faint line. Urine test must be repeated and a pelvic ultrasound should be taken.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
