What Could Faint Positive In HPT Indicate While Having Irregular Periods Due To PCOS?

l have had taken two home pregnancy tests both showing a faint positive l have suffered for the last few weeks of aleft Sided lower ab doman pain It is hard for me to Say how far along l AM AS l havent had a menstrual cycle for ove two years due to polycsytic ovarys

Hi,

A faint line in HPT test can indicate a missed abortion which might have happened 2 weeks ago or may also be suggestive of a early pregnancy. I would suggest you to repeat the HPT test after 2 weeks for confirmation. If test comes negative, there is nothing to worry but if the test comes positive, do an ultrasound examination of lower abdomen to exclude pregnancy.
