What Could Flaky, Cyst Like Thing In Belly Button Indicate?

Recently, I discovered a flaky, cyst like thing in my belly button. There has been some blood, smell, and it is just weird. The doctor thought at first it was just scar tissue from robotic surgery and that all he would have to do is cauterize it. But then yesterday, we found it was much more involved and had to do an incision to remove it. He is sending it in for a biopsy. Any thoughts of what it could possibly be? I thought I had a strange alien coming out of my belly button--so weird!!

You have not mentioned what surgery was done in a robotic way. This might be a seedling of the original pathology for which the robotic surgery was done. I think we would have to wait till the hitopathology report arrives.
