What Could Flu, Fever Blisters With Inability To Straighten The Knee Suggest?

My Dad had a the flu really bad for a few days. He had a fever, was sweating a lot, broke into fever blisters. He also has had some trouble straightening out his left middle finger. Today he said he cannot straighten his left knee now? Any idea what it could be?

I really appreciate your concern, because of the febrile condition such symptoms may be possible, and this is nothing to worry, with the treatment given bellow this would be fine soon,
1) Tab Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen as per needed
