Hello, thanks for writing to HCM.
Your report states-
- endometrial thickness (
uterine cavity lining) of 15mm with heterogenous echotexture.
The endometrial thickness varies with the menstrual phases, but this is mildly thickened. I would correlate this to your age and if you have any symptoms such as abnormal bleeding.
- Right ovary follicular cyst- a follicle grows in either ovary in every cycle, and ruptures during ovulation. If it does not rupture it will go on to form a follicular cyst. It is nothing to worry about.
A followup scan in the next menstrual cycle (or in 6-8 weeks) is usually done, by when most follicular cysts have spontaneously ruptured.
I am unaware of the indication/your age, for this scan, but I would like to followup on the endometrial thickness. An
endometrial biopsy is usually the definitive test when in doubt.
Hope I have helped you understand your problem.
Write in if you have any doubts.
Take care.
