What Could Frontal Meningioma In MRI Report Suggest?

i have multiple sclerosis dx d 1984. recently had to stop treatment of tysabri due to antibody in my system. upon MRI a right frontal meningioma 8mm X 8mm was found. just got results today and am curious as to what this means. i have appt with my neuro sched but in mean time i am just looking

Thanks for writing to HCM

Your findings suggests small meningioma in frontal region of brain.
It is a tumor that arises from the meninges( membranes that surround your brain and spinal cord). Most meningiomas are noncancerous (benign),though rarely a meningioma may be cancerous.

If the tumor is not causing any symptoms,only observation is often recommended.But patient need regular brain scans to determine if the tumor is growing.

If the tumor grows in size and it is causing symptoms then surgery may be necessary.
