What Could Hard Knots On Back And Neck Indicate?

I have a hard knot on the back of my neck. it's been there about 2 years and has gotten bigger. I don't know if it's related, but i also have joint pain and keep a low grade fever. I had a soft tissue MRI and it didn't show anything. Any idea what this could be? thank you.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have enlarged lymphnode due to reactive hyperplasia, tuberculosis, lymphoma or metastatic carcinoma. Or you may have some tissue tumor like lipoma or neurofibroma. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment according to diagnosis.
