What Could Hard, Round Lumps On Clitoris Hood Indicate?

I have about 3 little round ball things, smaller than the size of a pea, on my clitoris hood. They do hurt. I had one more, but i put pressure on it so it popped... It hurt, but it only hurt for a minute or two... They are hard, but they do pop. What are they and what should i do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
Thank you for asking Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your question and understand your concern dear.
Answer: Vaginal bumps are very commonly found in this area.
The factors that promote the occurrence of the bumps include:
-Infrequent washing of the area
-Unhealthy eating habits
-Less water intake
The most common cause of the bumps is a bacterial infection in vaginal area, because as moist and sweaty area is most favorable for bacteria to grow their colonies.
You should not pop up the bumps, because our hands carry many bacteria, you may instill a few bacteria in the lesion causing a deep infection.
I suggest you to visit a gynecologist to rule out other similar looking conditions like herpes and other SexualTransmitedDiseases and to treat properly!
Keep the area clean and dry. Wear loose cotton underwears. Wash the affected area twice daily with clear water. No soaps or gels are required.Too much of washing especially with soaps is actually bad for this region.Drink lots of plain water.Eat healthy.
A warm compress may be done thrice a day.(Take a soft cotton cloth. Wet it with warm water and place it over the pimple. This will help soften the skin and reduce any pain and swelling over it.)
You may apply Mupirocin ointment one application be at bed time.It will start healing in about a week. A scar may be left behind, which would take a few more days to go.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health!
