What Could Have Caused Sleepwalking Which Had Stopped After Discontinuing Ambien 2 Years Back?

I have had occasional episodes of sleepwalking in the past when I was in Ambien, but I haven t taken it for over two years and I had another episode last night. What could have caused it? I live in a dorm and want to make sure it won t happen again.

There are many reasons for the sleep walking, common ones are:

@ Hereditary
@ Side effects of certain drugs as anti-psychotic and others
@ Alcohol
@ Stress induced altered sleep pattern
@ Night mares
@ Obstructive sleep apnea
@ Post traumatic stress disorder

* A thorough history with systemic evaluation is mandatory to proceed further in this regard.
