What Could Heavy Chest With Headache And Back Pain Suggest?

It feels as though someone is sitting on my chest making it hard to breathe...slight heart burn feeling....headache....upper/mid back pain, and my feet and hands feel really swollen. A hey feeling in my ribs. My stomach hurt to the touch for a few days.....any thoughts??? Been going on for around a week now.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have heavy chest with headache and back pain along with pain in stomach . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably occurring due to one of the two reasons :-

- Due to acid reflux disease ( GERD ) . which occur due to dysfunction of sphincter of esophagus .

- Due to cardiac problem like angina or heart failure .

I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist without any delay for proper diagnose . Doctor may order endoscopy of upper digestive track , x-ray and ambulatory acidity test to confirm the diagnosis and to rule out cardiac problem . Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitor and H2 blockers along with antacid . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist if he/she find problem to be related with heart . For now do not eat spicy and heavy food , take proper rest and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
