What Could Irregular Nodular Densities In X-ray Suggest?
my x ray shows irregular linear and nodular densities seen in the right upper lobe and the impression of the radiologist is right upper lobe infiltrates relating to pulmonary tubercolosis. do i need to take other test? or will i rely solely on the result of my chest x ray?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Sputum examination for AFB. 2. CT Thorax with contrast. 3. Bronchoscopy and BAL analysis for AFB. Upper lobe lesion always gives impression of TB. So in your case TB should be ruled out first. And by above tests you will definitely reach the diagnosis. I also suggest to get done sputum culture and sensitivity to rule our primary drug resistant. So consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
