I HAVE A DRY COUGH @OCCASIONAL CENTRAL CHEST PAIN @COUGH UP WHITE SPUTUM. WHEN I RETIRE TO BED IF I LAY ON MY BACK MY UPPER CENTRAL CHEST IS BUBBLY BUT WHEN LYING ON MY RIGHT SIDE IT IS BETTER. MY DOCTOR GAVE ME 500mg AMMOXYLLIN 7DAY COURSE OVER THE PHONE. WHAT COULD THIS CHEST COMPLAINT BE.

Amoxicillin is antibiotic and good drug for lung infection. But if you are smoker then bronchitis is more likely. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). Chest x ray is needed to rule lung infection. PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
