What Could It Be If Having Headache And Dizziness With Extreme Fatigue And Swollen Tonsils?
I am a 16 year old female. No history of cancer or disease, no known genetic conditions. Not sexually active. For the last three days, I have been experiencing extreme fatigue, along with a sore throat with extremely swollen tonsils. Severity of of coughing fluxuates, coughing produces mucus. Fever is sporadic, varying from 99-103 degrees F. Headaches also come and go, and make me sensitive to light and touch. Pain is usually comcentrated in the temples or behind the ears. Dizziness is also present.
You could be suffering from mononucleosis which is a viral infection which causes exactly the symptoms that you are mentioning. Alternatively, you could have a throat infection of another kind. I would recommend you see a physician to get a proper diagnosis as if it is mononucleosis you should avoid any contact sports or other activities that could result in injuries as it results in swelling of the spleen for a period of time. If it is mononucleosis, it goes away on its own after 1-2 weeks, but the spleen enlargement can persist for a month.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
