What Could Itchy, Large Circular Spot On Lower Back Mean?

Hi I just noticed today that I have a large circular spot on my lower back. The spot is purple around the outside of the circle and pink/red on the inside, wand the inside of the circle feels lumpy like maybe small hives. But nothing is outside of the almost perfect round circle. It started itching extremely bad and that is when I discovered it, I am not sure if it is a bug bite or what. I would like to know what I should do and what might this be?

Hi

The kind of lesion your have developed might be an allergic reaction .
This can occur due to insect bite reaction .
Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin or mupirocin over the lesion twice daily.
Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy .
You might need a course of oral steroids if the lesion still tends to persist or increase .
