What Could Itchy Red Blotch With Pus Filled Blister On Cheek Indicate?

Yesterday I did not look at my face, until 3 hours had past, but it began to itch on my cheek. By the time I could get to a mirror I saw a little yellow filled blister in the middle of a red blotch about the size of the end of my little finger. I put soap on it immediately and the blister went away but the blotch turned into a very angry red place. I put makeup over it after washing my face this morning, but it still itches almost like crazy. I can handle the itch, but it is a nuisance. Could it be a spider, could it be rosacea, could it be from a chemical you find in a salon/school where I work? I also put liquid spray benedryl on it last night also with no affect. I am sorry, I am not at my home and I do not have my credit card. Thank you anyway

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy red blotch with pus filled blister on cheek which occurs because of allergic reaction to any ingredient and because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and clogging of dead skin and bacteria leads to formation of pus in that and due to impaired immunity of body. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for pimples. You should drink plenty of fluids and avoid oily, sharp and greasy food. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
