What Could Large, Hard, Itchy Bruise On Thigh With Red Dots On It Indicate?

I have a large (3 wide by 6 long) bruise that has appeared on my thigh. This afternoon I noticed mild itching on my thigh and when I reached down to itch it, the thigh was a bit harder than usual. A few hours have passed since and I just looked in the area. It has red dots in the bruising. I am positive I did not injure the area at all.

Thanks for query on HCM.
Red,itchy dot on thigh might be due to any insect bite and gave allergic reaction.
You can apply mild steroid containing cream on it,it will subside within next 24 hrs.
Otherwise you can take oral levocetrizine and mild steroid under guidance of your family physician.
Be watchful for next time.
