What Could Lump In Mons Pubis With History Of Having Lumpectomy Indicate?

Yes, I am a 77 year old female who has had a lumpectomy (left breast) a few years ago and was also diagnosed 5 years ago (Parkinson). Am doing OK with Parkinson tho; the tremor in leg has gradually increased. I also have a pessary in place. I just noticed about 2 weeks ago that I now have a lump in my mons pubis and wonder if this is generally cancerous? I am to see the urogynocologist next week to check on the pessary and have it cleaned....I intend to bring this new problem up.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The lump in the pubis can be related to an reactive lymph node.
The reactive lymph nodes are related to an infection in the system.
I suggest to do a urinalysis and a complete blood count for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
