What Could Lumps On Lips Suggest?

Hi, I have a lump in my bottom lip that has been there for over a month now. It started as a clear zit, which I popped. It then came back as a big whitehead, and now is a prominent lump on the inside of my lip. Should I be concerned? It doesnt hurt but is somewhat in the way, I am always tonguing it, not incredibly big but noticeable

Hi dear ,

The symptoms you mention in query are probably due to Fordyce spots . They are variant of sebaceous gland . These harmless small white bumps inside the lips are visible sebaceous or oil-producing glands. There are many treatment options available for such lumps like Electro desiccation , Pulsed dye lasers and Micro-punch technique . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis and rule out conditions like oral thrush , herpes simplex or a canker sore . For now apply lip balm containing SPF 15 and apply raw honey at night .

Hope your query is solved.
