What Could Missed Periods And Cramps Post Induced Abortion Indicate?

Hi doctor I am very much worried about my missed period. I have taken home pregnancy test two times and the result showed negative. In the month of may 2015 I was pregnant. We have identified it in the early stage and had an abortion using mifeprostone under medical advice. After that doctor given some medicine with contraseptic pills also. In the month of June I got periods again with 8 days bleeding. But after that july i missed my period with cramps and discharge. Pregnancy home test showed negative and I am thinking thereis no chance now to become pregnant. Please help.me

I understand your concern. After going through the description, it appears that you have lost hope that you wouldn't become pregnant.

Well, after abortion, it takes few more months for the hormones to come to normal and start getting periods regularly. So have patience till then. It is quite common to experience menstrual disturbances like early or delay in getting periods, alteration in the number of days of flow and experiencing cramps.

Once your cycles start getting regular, your ovulation also will be timed properly, which would increase the chances of conception. You may take assistance from Gynecologist so that your periods will become regular through medications.

The very fact that you had conceived before says that you are fertile. You just need to wait some more time for it to happen again.
