What Could Missed Periods, Nausea, Vomiting, Acne On Face With Stomach Pain While Being On Birth Control Mean?
I've been feeling very naseaus and vomiting when I see certain foods (smell, think about, etc.) And craving food. I started getting achne slightly on my face and I never break out. And my stomach will occasionly have a pain on the sides. And I've missed two periods. But I was put on birth control junel at the beginning of the year to help regulate my periods and I haven't missed one in months.
Junel which is a combined hormonal contraceptive is expected to give around 91% to 99% protection rate when used according to the schedule. As you have not missed the pill, the possibility of pregnancy is less in your case. Irregular periods, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc. can be seen as side effects due to combined hormonal pills. Acne can be seen in the premenstrual period due to hormonal fluctuation.
So, to get clarification, please go for a urine pregnancy test once. If the test gives a negative result, then the symptoms you are having could be due to the side effect of pills or due to the premenstrual symptoms after two months of amenorrhea. Symptomatic treatment with antacids and anti-emetics can give relief to some extent.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
